Le rapport conjoint de la TRNEE et TDDC sur l’efficacité énergétique dans le secteur des bâtiments commerciaux prend de l’élan auprès des intervenants du milieu, avide de savoir comment réduire les émissions de GES et de maximaliser l’efficacité énergétique.

(Toronto, le 28 janvier 2009) – La Table ronde nationale sur l’environnement et l’économie en partenariat avec Technologies du développement durable Canada ont présenté à Toronto devant une salle comble leur rapport intitulé « Dans l’engrenage du changement : Efficacité énergétique dans le secteur des bâtiments commerciaux du Canada ».

Ce rapport représente une étape majeure face aux réalités du secteur des bâtiments commerciaux du Canada au moment où il se prépare à relever les défis associés aux émissions de GES et de la consommation d’énergie. Le rapport met de l’avant un tracé politique viable sur les émissions de carbone et l’efficacité énergétique dans le secteur des bâtiments commerciaux.

L’événement qui a été coorganisé par l'Association des biens immobiliers du Canada (REALpac) a rassemblé 47 principaux acteurs de ce secteur (liste des participants). Ces derniers ont été initiés au contenu du rapport par ses principaux auteurs et ont pu participer à une foire aux questions, et participer aux discussions.

Dans les mois à venir, La TRNEE offrira des séances d’information additionnelles pour présenter les recommandations de son rapport dans les grands centres urbains du Canada.
